So you all want the secret of how to get your site at the top of Google search? So of course it is not really any secret but some basics which I have come to learn over time. Its not only about google search but also some things which may help to generate more traffic to your website. My mother always taught me to share - so here goes. (Say thanks to mom)

1. "Content" and LOTS OF IT! The more content your site has - the easier and the better google will pick it up.

2. "The Right content" For example if you have a site which sells black hats - than the content in your site should mention the words "BLACK HAT" as many times as possible without making your site look like a broken record. In other words sprinkle it around with taste.

3. "Link backs" Get your link out there - the more links you have on the world wide web the better. Get people/friends to link back to your site from their site.

4. "Blogging" Whether you have a company blog on your website or you just blog for fun . Blog is great for generating lots of content. After a year of blogging - your blog will be filled with content and will very easily be found on google search. You can easily direct your blog readers to your company site, online store or whatever you have.

Make sure to update your blog - as often as you can! People come back if they have what to come back to.

5. Submit your URL to GOOGLE!
The very basic rule - submit your url to google. Google warns:" We do not add all submitted URLs to our index, and we cannot make any predictions or guarantees about when or if they will appear."

My advice: If you just launched a website....than definitely submit it to google.

6. "Spend money?" Should you spend money on "Search Engine Optimization" "SEO" Specialists? Not so fast. If you have the money - it may not be a bad idea. Before doing this - make sure they are really specialists - that is always a good idea.

I hear that it actually takes many months for good SEO to be implimented into your site. If you dont have or want to spend money on this - like many out there....I think you can do it yourself.

Another option is Google Adwords..you can read up on that yourselves.. just search google for it...it should come out first.
