סיפור אמיתי
יום כיפור מתקרב... וחבר טוב שלי רוצה לעשות תשובה עבור מעשה שקרה לפני כ-12 שנה.
כפי שידוע לנו, יום הכיפור אינו מכפר על עבירות שבין אדם לחבירו.
הסיפור הוא כזה:
בסביבות השנה 1996-1995 בירושלים.
הוא היה אז כבן 16-
והוא קנה פלאפון ממשהו במחיר של: 150 שח.
לא היה ידוע לו, אבל אותו פלאפון היה גנוב.
אחרי יומיים או שלש הוא קבל צלצול מבעל-האמיתי של הפלאפון. בעל-הפלאפון בקש את הפלאפון חזרה.
בעל הפלאפון הבהיר שהפלאפון הוא של בנו ומאד מאד חשוב לו. והוא אפילו מוכן לשלשם כל מחיר עבורו.
החבר שלי הסכים בסופו של דבר להחזירו.... אבל הוא גבה ממנו 250 שח (במקום 150) בכדי לעשות רווח עליו.

הם נפגשו בקניון מלחה בירושלים ועשו את העיסקה. הפלאפון היה שחור מוטורולה פליפר ...משהו דומה לזה

היום עבר כ- 12 שנה...וחברי הטוב רוצה להחזיר לבעל-הפלאפון את כספו חזרה. לא ידוע מי זה ואיפה הוא נמצא. הוא רוצה לעשות תשובה
ואני מאמין שאנו יכולים לעזור לו...על ידי העברת המודעה הזאת לכל מי שאתם מכירים בישראל וכו' . אם ירצה ה' אז זה יצליח!
אני יכול רק לתאר לעצמי איזה זכות גדול יהיה לכלם... שהקדוש ברוך הוא רואה עשרות אלפי יהודים עובדים יחד כדי לעזור ליהודי אחד לקיים מצות "תשובה"

With Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) coming up...a friend of mine is looking to do teshuva (repent) for a past misdeed.
As we know Yom Kippur does not atone for misdeeds between man and man.
Here is the story:
About 12 years ago - 1995 or 1996 in Jerusalem.
He was 16 years old...had purchased a cellphone for 150 shekels.
Not known to him, this was a stolen phone.
Soon after, the rightful phone owner called him up and told him that this phone is a stolen one and he asked for the phone back. It was verified and true.
After having already paid for the phone, my friend wanted to make his money back.
The owner made it clear that he was willing to pay any sum. It was his sons cellphone and was very important for him to have it back.
So my friend agreed to return the phone to the rightful-owner.
He ended up selling the rightful-owner his own phone back for 250 shekels. (instead of 150) In order to make some extra profit.
My friend ended up meeting with the rightful-owner in Kanion Malcha in Jerusalem to complete the deal.
16 years later...
My friend wants to repay the rightful-owner his money.
He has no clue who he is and where he is.
The phone was a black motorola flipper with those red digital numbers. (They obviously don't sell this model anymore)
It looked very similar to this:

My friend wants to do proper Teshuva and I think we can really help him out by forwarding this message out to everyone in Israel that you know.
If G-d wills it - this mission will be successful.
The Rightful-owner of that phone will definitely remember this story once he hears it.
When the rightful-owner does hear about this he should email teshuvashelayma@gmail.com . asap.
My friend is with holding some details in order to be able to verify the rightful-owner.
May the zechut of helping another Jew fulfill the mitzva of teshuva stand as a merit for you on Yom Kippur and the rest of this year.
I can only imagine what a big merit everyone will have when Hashem sees thousands of Jews all working together to help another Jew do a single Mitzva of Teshuva.
