Ilan Bloch, 31, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, and a Graduate Diploma of Education, in Jewish Studies and Hebrew. He also holds a Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel (SPNI) Ministry of Education-authorised Tour Guiding Certificate. He is currently completing his Masters of Arts in Jewish Education at the Melton Center, at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Ilan works as a tour guide, teacher and session facilitator for student and young adult groups from overseas, for such organisations as Ramah Programs in Israel, Melitz, and the Jewish Agency for Israel. Before making Aliyah more than 4 years ago, Ilan worked as a Jewish Studies, Hebrew and Israel Studies teacher, and served as the Head of Informal Jewish Education, at The King David School in Melbourne, Australia.
